38th Club Meeting Monday 9/23

Please plan to attend our next 38th District Republican Club Meeting on Monday, 9/23/2024, meet and greet at 6pm and meeting start at 630pm. We will review what we learned from the Primary Election and what we are preparing for the General Election! We will have Trump signs and our statewide candidate signs. Plenty of opportunities to get involved!

Based on YOUR recommendations, please see our final Billboard selections here. We are close to reaching our goal of displaying all of these signs at 6, yes SIX locations in the 38th districts. Thank you all who have donated and made this possible. If you have not donated to our Billboard sign fund, please consider donating today. We are counting on all of you, thank you!

BIG EVENTS COMING UP

Election Integrity Virtual Town Hall

Delaware GOP Chair Extraordinaire will be holding a virtual Election Integrity Town Hall this Sunday, September 22 at 7:30pm. This topic of discussion will include Early Voting, Absentee Voting and Poll Watching. Please register today at this link, for security. Town Hall Online Registration.

From Chair Julianne Murray:

With the General Election less than two months away, we know the issue of election integrity is of great concern for many. We at the Delaware Republican Party, share that concern, which is why when I took office last year, one of the first things I did was to establish a Task Force dedicated to this initiative. I’m proud to say the DEGOP Task Force has been meeting consistently for over a year now and together with the Chair of the Task Force, Stephanie Baffone, we will be hosting a virtual Town Hall on Election Integrity, Sunday, September 22nd at 7:30pm. During the Town Hall, you’ll have an opportunity to meet the team, hear about the specifics of the blueprint we are using to protect the vote, and learn about the different ways you can get involved. Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 22nd at 7:30pm and stay tuned for the link to join. We hope to see you there!

Rep. Hilovksy Needs Our Support at Biased Candidate Forum

Also, we need all Good Republicans to attend this planned debate between our incumbent Republican, Representative Hilovsky, and the radical democrat challenger for his seat. The debate will be hosted by the very left leaning League of Women Voters. We need Republican support at this biased venue, just as Donald J. Trump had to debate 1 v 3, we may see this repeat here in Sussex County. This debate will take place September 26th, 7-8pm at the Indian River Senior Center, 214 Irons Ave., Millsboro. See you there! Good Ordinary People with commonsense we need to put an end to the nonsense!

Tailgate Fundraiser Into the End Zone!

Also this Sunday come on out to a Fall Republican Tailgate party! Hob knob with your favorite Republican friends and support our candidates cross the finish line to victory! Lots of silent auction items, tailgate cuisine and fine beverages. Fall is for locals, so come on out!

When: Sunday September 22, 4p-7.

Where: Big Oyster Brewery, 1007 Kings Hwy, Lewes

What: FUNdraiser for Kim Hoey Stevenson, Nikki Miller, Mike Simpler, and Mark Schaeffer

Ticket: $50

Challenger Training Online

As the election draws closer, a part of the DEGOP’s Election Integrity efforts include getting people inside the polls. There are two ways people can get inside the polls to “work.”

One is by being a poll worker and the other is by volunteering to be a Checker Challenger/Poll Watcher.

Here’s the difference between the two and how you can apply to “work” inside the polls:

A poll worker is a PAID, temporary employee of the Department of Elections and is hired by the DOE via a temporary staffing agency, Delmarva Temporary Staffing. Poll workers must work the entire day, often beginning as early as 6:30am and ending after the polls close at 8pm. The DOE hires Inspectors, Judges and Clerks and here’s where you can apply.

Checker Challengers are volunteers (placed inside the polls by the Party or candidates on the ballot) whose role is to oversee/watch the process of voting, note anything of concern, and challenge any voters they suspect are ineligible.

The DEGOP’s Election Integrity Task Force is thrilled to share we have partnered with the Conservative Caucus of Delaware who graciously prepared VIRTUAL trainings that will be offered on Thursday, October 3rd from 6:30pm-8:30pm and then again on Tuesday, October, 8th 7pm-9pm. Once volunteers attend a training, they will be placed at a polling location in their county, for whatever length of time they can commit (can be as little as three hours or up to the entire day).

With enough volunteers, the goal is to staff the polls during early voting and the opening and scanning of absentee ballots, as well as on Election Day.
