The Mighty 38th District came out to the Delaware GOP Convention this past Saturday in style, showing that not only do we work hard, but we play hard too! Thanks to our awesome team of patriots, we had donuts, coffee, coffee buns, and we brought a grill to serve our hungry delegates in style, with plenty of sides and fixins. We fed a few hungry candidates, representatives and senators too! But we were all about business and got to work casting our votes and showing support for our newly endorsed party candidates for the 2024 election cycle.
This year there were several candidates seeking the party endorsement for Governor. Even though our Chair, Julianne Murray, was not a candidate for Governor and not seeking the party endorsement, Julianne still garnered quite a few write-in votes, showing that Sussex county still believes in loyalty. Sussex County also believes in the process, and did not push for a second round of votes to further pursue the issue, but rather got our momentum behind the front runner, House Minority Leader, Mike Ramone, who now has the party's official endorsement and support moving forward into November 2024.
So prepare to get busy, 38th District Republicans, it is NOW election season, and we need YOU. Come to our next meeting, Tuesday, May 28th, 5:00 pm, and order dinner at Fenwick Crab House, with meeting to follow 5:45 pm. We are honored to have Chair Julianne Murray as our guest speaker! You won't want to miss this meeting!
