Day 2 Early Voting Results

We have now had two busy days of early voting in Delaware. This analysis includes Absentee and Early voting. This total tally is after the SECOND day of Early Voting, includes Friday 10/25 and Saturday 10/26.

What Do The Results Show?

As voter turnout is increasing, we are seeing the percent of voter turnout by party increase for Republicans, 11.6% voter turnout for Republicans and 10% voter turnout for democrats. Independents are only coming out 5.6% so far. Though the percentage of Republican voter turnout is increasing, republicans are still outnumbered by democrat voters, 35,811 democrats vs 23,977 republicans. If independents vote republican, then we have 51% of the vote!

And In The 38th?

What we see in the 38th is that voter turnout by percent is neck and neck Republican vs democrats, both are at a whopping 28% voter turnout so far, compared to 9.3% voter turnout for the state overall. In the 38th Republicans are trouncing the democrats 49% to 32% in numbers. Democrats, just stay home!

What Is The Path to a Republican Victory?

If there is a 50% democrat voter turnout out that would equal 176,606 votes. For the Republicans to equal that vote, we would need 86% Republican turnout. We don't know how independents are voting, but the more they swing our way the better!

My Suggestion

With the low independent voter turnout, despite there being more independents vs Republicans in Delaware, I would focus resources on getting out the Republican voters and targeting them very specifically, through targeted social media blitzes, texting via DE GOP app, and continued phone banking. Same in the 38th.
