Whew, the Primary is behind us, and the 2024 General Election is now clearly in our sites ahead of us. It will be here before you know it!
Thank you Republican Poll Workers!
Thank you all Republican Poll Workers who worked this Primary Election. You are our first line of defense when it comes to election integrity. We need Republicans in these very important roles in our elections. We thank you for your dedication to truth and integrity and putting your time and efforts where it matters most. And what you learned in this Primary Election, you will put to even more good use for the General Election, go team!
Thank you Republican Challengers!
If the Republican Poll Workers are our defensive line, the Challengers are our Special Teams, the Green Berets of election integrity. We had Challengers at EVERY SINGLE polling location in the 38th, covering all 14 precincts, at least for a part of the time. We definitely need more Challengers for the General Election. Our Challengers went into the polls, were able to observe the processes, and point out any issues that were not quite right. This can occur, not due to malicious intent on the part of volunteer poll workers, but rather due to the inexperience of the citizen poll workers. Pre 2020, in Delaware we had a dedicated group of experienced poll workers who signed up to work every election. However, during the pandemic, this group of folks, who were mostly older, declined to participate in being poll workers mostly for health related concerns and they have not returned as poll workers. Therefore, the majority of our volunteer citizen poll workers, clerks, judges and inspectors, are inexperienced and often it is their first time in these roles. So there is plenty of room for grace for all involved.
The number one issue our Challengers noted was confusion at the polling booths and Clerks going behind the curtains of the poll booths with the voters. This is a no no, as there can be no perception of vote influencing and tampering with the selections of the voters. Now I don't believe this was ever the intent of the clerks, who meant well, but still, it is forbidden to do this. Our recommendation to the DOE will be to have a "test" electronic polling booth open to allow voters to get a preview of the voting process before entering the voting booth.
Our Challengers also caught a few voters who were not on the voting rolls, great pick ups, Challengers! These voters had either just moved, or just registered and had not made it to the voter rolls yet, but were verified and allowed to vote. The DOE now knows we are watching!
Thank you Greeters, Sign Placers and Callers!
And thank you Poll Greeters, Sign Placers, and Callers from home! There were more democrat poll greeters this Primary than we have ever seen before in the Mighty 38th red country. So your role is vital, to be a place of comfort and camaraderie for our fellow Republican patriots who often feel alone in a blue sea of very vocal social signaling lefties. They are not alone!
How Was The Voter Turnout?
A point of concern in this Primary Election was that overall voter turnout was low. Since Delaware has closed primaries, only registered Republicans and democrats can vote. Of the registered Republicans and democrats who were allowed to vote in this primary, the turnout was about 18% for Republicans and 22% for democrats. This number is typical for a primary election in Delaware (excluding 2020 when we had mass mail in voting) and was actually a slightly higher than average turnout. So it really wasn't that bad after all. Here is the breakdown:
Sussex County 14,017 Total Voters 5,738 R (41%) 8,381 D (59%)
Kent County 7,819 Total voters 3,107 R (40%) 4,755 D (60%)
New Castle County 19,842 Total Voters 4,033 R (20%) 15,937 D (80%)
All 3 Counties 41,678 Total 12,878 R (31%) 29,073 D (69%)
Sussex accounted for 45% of the total Republican voters who came out to vote (NCC 31% and Kent 24%). So what we predicted came true, Sussex determines the winners of the Republican Primary election in Delaware.
Higher Republican Turn Out Needed for General Election
That said, we must, we have to, have a much higher Republican turnout for the General Election. It is possible for Republicans to win elections in Delaware, even though we are outnumbered by democrats. But only IF and WHEN we vote. The other thing we noticed, is that it is vitally important to vote early. Waiting until election day is no longer the ticket to win. Case in point, my two elderly neighbors, who are in their 90's, declined my offer to assist them to vote by absentee or early vote for this primary election, telling me they were traditionalists and would vote on election day. Well today I asked them if they had voted, and they had to tell me that they did not. They both assured me that they would vote by absentee for the General Election, rather sheepishly. I will make sure they do!
What Is The Plan to Get Out the Republican Vote?
So how do we get a 90% voter turnout in the 38th district?? We have a plan! The Club will do some of the heavy lifting with ads in the paper, billboards, and social media posts. And you, dear Republican reader, will do some of the lifting too. Every single person reading this article will email me at info@38thdrcp.com letting me how you will help. As of today we need Callers, to make phone calls to get out the Republican vote. We will give you the script, the data, and the phone numbers. Since you care about our beautiful United States of America and don't want to see our country become socialist or worst, communist, and you want to defeat the leftist Marxists and leave our legacy of the greatest nation under God ever to exist to our children and grandchildren, then you must act now. It's now or never. I will never bug you again, because if we don't win in November, it won't matter. So email me now, email me today, and let's take back our country and Make America Great Again Now!! info@38thdrcp.com .
