Two DE Special Elections, Riley Gaines and Rep Nancy Mace Coming to DE - Get Your Tickets!

Happy 2025 to a Republican New Year, at least in most of the country. This 2024 election season, we worked hard, we had a BIG win with electing Donald J. Trump back into office as President, and the American people voted Republicans to the House and Senate! We also had some losses. Electing Lisa Blunt Rochester to Senate and Tim/Sarah McBride to the House are definitely losses, to not only Delaware, but to the United States as well. They are two of the most left leaning, liberal, woke, no commonsense politicians there are, and we can only hope that the Republican majority at the federal level will be able to contain their Marxist nonsense. That said, I hope everyone has also had a chance to recoup somewhat from all of our efforts leading up to November 5th, because it is time to work again, to help get two Republicans elected in two Special Elections here in Delaware, coming up very soon.

Two Delaware Special Elections February 2025

As soon as the current Delaware Senator Kyle Evans Gay is sworn in as Delaware Lieutenant Governor on January 21st, there will be an open seat for State Senate District 5.

And when current Delaware State Senator Tim/Sarah McBride is confirmed as a representative to US Congress, which is January 6th, there will be an open seat for State Senate District 1.

This means we will have two Special Elections to fill these two Delaware Senate seats. We will not have the exact dates of the Special Elections until both sitting Senators resign their positions, with up to ten days to announce, and with a mandatory Special Election within 35 days after the announcement. This short window does not give us a lot of time to prepare, but prepare we must!

Accepting Volunteers Now

Just as she did with the Special Election for Valerie Jones Giltner a year ago, Joyce Hoover, our Republican Party NCC Field Director, will again be accepting volunteers to make phone calls to Republicans and right leaning Independents in these districts to come out to vote for both Republican candidates.

Joyce is already getting lists and a script together, so we will be ready to spring into action as soon as we get the dates of the Elections. What we need now is YOU! We need our Republican warriors to be on standby and ready to go, as we won't have the time to ask and get callers once the announcement is made. We need to have our team in place ready to go at a moment's notice. The specific dates for this Special Election cannot yet be determined, but we estimate it will be sometime mid-February 2025.

Please email Joyce today joycehoover@outlook.com or text 302-312-9288 that you can participate in making phone calls once we get the word. You will be emailed a list and a script. If you want to start learning how to get a Google phone number, please start working on that now. Please provide your name, cell number and email address.   Joyce will provide a script and a Google Sheets List of assigned names with phone numbers to call.   To receive and access the google sheets list, you will need a Google Email Account which can easily be set up if you don’t already have one.

Additional information and instructions will be provided when we have them.

Who Are Our Republican Candidates

Senate District 1 which involves the City of Wilmington, Bellefonte, Edgemoor & parts of Alapocas: Steve Washington.

Steve Washington has been nominated as the Republican running for SD1.  Steve was our candidate in the 2020 election. He is a hard worker and the man for the job. He will be replacing the Democrat transgender that the State just sent to Washington, DC as our sole Congressperson.

Senate District 5 which extends from Claymont to Talleyville through Brandywine Hundred including Arden: Brent Burdge.

Brent Burdge has been nominated to run as a Republican Candidate for State Senate District 5 to replace Kyle Evans Gay. Many of you know Brent from his work communicating legislative activities in the Northern NCC Region and with the Republican Caucuses.  He is a common-sense Republican and is looking to counterbalance the increasingly extreme Democrats in the General Assembly.  He was an engineer and retired as a Global Supply Chain Manager for DuPont/Axalta.  He has run twice for the RD10 seat, with improved results. Brent Burdge was our candidate for Representative District 10 in 2020 & also in 2024. He is VERY FRESH in the minds of the voters as approximately 5,300 people just voted for him in November.

These districts, SD 1 and SD 5, are in blue Wilmington and New Castle County, BUT, the turnout for Special Elections is very low, so it IS possible that if we can get more republicans out to vote, a win CAN HAPPEN. I would recommend to candidates to NOT utilize yard signs, commercials or ads, but to rather focus on direct mail, direct phone calls and texts, to avoid activating the democrats about the special election and the Republican efforts.

Republicans are only one seat away from a Democrat Super Majority so it’s extremely important that we win these seats.  Please email Joyce Hoover today and get on the team to fight for our State! Good Ordinary People (GOP) that will put an End to the Nonsense!

Rep Nancy Mace AND Riley Gaines Coming to Delaware January 10th

If you haven't purchased your tickets to attend the DE GOP Event to meet SC Republican Representative Nancy Mace, you now have another reason to attend, Riley Gaines will be the second speaker at this great event!

Riley Gaines gained attention after tying with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA championships and speaking out about fairness in women’s sports. She criticized the NCAA for prioritizing Thomas in their trophy presentation and began advocating against transgender women competing in female categories. Her stance led to media appearances, legislative testimonies, and support from conservative groups, amplifying her platform. Gaines is now a prominent voice in the debate over gender identity and fairness in athletics, drawing both praise and criticism.

Email Paula Ireton for tickets today! pireton@delawaregop.com. We will be carpooling from the 38th, leaving Hockers Grocery Store at 3pm. If full dinner seating tickets are no longer available, there may be pub style seating available at a lower price.

January 20th Inauguration Bus Trip

We have a full bus attending this once in a lifetime event, the inauguration of the Donald J. Trump as our 47th President of the United States of America. We will leave at 6:00am from Hocker's Grocery Store in Millville and depart DC around 3:00pm. The fee is $85 per person, plus 20% driver gratuity, so $100 total per person.

Bus Attendees, please fill out the Request an Inauguration Ticket request link that was sent to you and accept the invitation. We are hopeful that we can get tickets to a designated area on the National Mall for the Inauguration. All ticket sales are final at this point.
